Public Consultation Event: Friday 1st March, 3 – 8pm

ZEDpods on Chalks Road, St. George

Following on from the Bristol Housing Festival expo in October, Bristol City Council committed to supporting the Festival and to make land available for innovation; and first up is the ZEDpods.

The ZEDpods will be placed on the Chalks road carpark adjacent to St George Park and is pioneering a way to create 100% affordable and low carbon housing.

Bristol City Council Pledges Sites and Modular Homes in Five-Year Housing Festival

Bristol City Council last night pledged to make sites available across the city to the festival to test and deliver innovative and affordable housing solutions over the next five years. Cllr Paul Smith, who made the announcement to an audience of 300 at the festival’s launch at City Hall, also committed the council to investing in six rapid-build, modular homes from ZED Pods to be put up on one of the sites and offered to people in housing crisis within six months, subject to planning.

Announcing Exciting Exhibitors for Our Launch Event

We have a fantastically diverse and exciting line-up of exhibitors for our free launch exhibition, including manufacturers, designers and tech innovators, opening on Friday 19th October. The exhibition will be opened by Kevin McCloud, Channel 4’s Grand Designs presenter, and chairman of HAB which is headquartered in Bristol. The exhibition will run every day between 11 and 6 until Sunday 4th November on Waterfront Square near Millennium Square. It will showcase some of the most creative ideas in housing.
